How Can severe Dizziness Along With Nausea Be Treated?

I woke this morning with an explosion of very bright lights in my head,I could not see for several minutes and was extremely dizzy and nauseaus I went to my local ER, they did head CAT scan and EKG, my BP was OK, they did not find anything wrong with the tests they ran, could this be vertigo?

I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

Vertigo is not a condition it is merely a symptom, a manifestation. It means sensation of spinning movement, as if the room is spinning around you, or you yourself are spinning. So if that doesn't fit with what you felt during that episodes it shouldn't be vertigo. In any way as I said it is a symptom, one still would have to find the cause. It seems your doctors have been careful by performing the necessary tests to exclude dangerous causes like brain hemorrhage, heart arrhythmia. At times it is hard to find a origin righ away and evolution will tell. Hope it will be an isolated episode and you won't have further issues.
